The first digital camera ever was invented by
Steven Sasson in 1975. It could record an image of 100 x 100 pixels. That is 0.01 Megapixel in today's marketing terminology. It took 23 seconds to write the image to a digital cassette tape. And it took another 23 seconds to load the image from the tape via a special computer to a television screen.
Apart from being a revolutionary device I think it's a beautiful object as well.
